The LIFEWISE Centre

Turning lives around by helping people to rebuild their lives.

For those who are homeless, the Centre is a real safety net.

Open 364 days a year, the Centre meets the basic day-to-day needs of homeless people, including providing over 42,000 meals a year.

In 2008 LIFEWISE launched  a new programme with the aim of working with people to help them rebuild their lives. A wide range of services are delivered at the Centre in partnership with other specialist agencies. These include help with essential life skills, mental health issues, overcoming addictions, and assistance accessing and maintaining housing in the community.

The centre is also the base for LIFEWISE's Court Support Outreach Service.

Services include:

  • Drop-in-centre – open for up to nine hours a day, 364 days a year.
  • Meal Service – breakfast, lunch and dinner are cooked and served in the centre’s dining hall.
  • Healthcare - advice and minor treatments
  • Court Support – this outreach service offers personal support and assistance with legal / court processes.
  • Hot showers
  • Foodbank - for families experiencing financial difficulties
  • Clothing - donated clothes are sorted and given to clients.
