ENDING HOMELESSNESS IN NEW ZEALAND

At the recent 2009 conference of the New Zealand Coalition to End Homelessness (Christchurch, March 24th 2009) LIFEWISE presented a number of key initiatives.

Corie Haddock, Manager of The LIFEWISE Centre spoke on "From soup kitchen to recovery - Pathways out of Homelessness using an integrated, multi-agency approach".

Steve McLuckie, a client support worker with LIFEWISE, joined Katie Owen of Street Football Aotearoa to talk about "Where sport is the intervention".

LIFEWISE General Manager, John McCarthy presented "Responses to homelessness in Auckland City: the Auckland Homeless Action Plan 2008-2013" together with Betty MacLaren, Safety Adviser with Auckland City Council and Diane Robertson of the Auckland City Mission.
